Founded in 2010, FRC Team 3205 Patriots is a student run FIRST Robotics team at Concord Carlisle High School in Massachusetts that competes in the annual FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). The CCHS Robotics club is a team that participates in the FRC Robotics league. During the competition season we operate much like a sports team For six weeks starting in early January we meet daily to design build and test a robot to compete in league meets. In March we participate in two separate competitions, each held over a period of three days. During the off season, the club meets once per week.
FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is an international high school robotics competition. Each year, teams of high school students and mentors work during a six-week period to build game-playing robots that weigh up to 120 pounds. Robots complete tasks such as scoring balls into goals, flying discs into goals, inner tubes onto racks, hanging on bars, and balancing robots on balance beams. The game changes yearly, keeping the excitement fresh and giving each team a more level playing field. This year's competition is titled "First Steamworks."
